Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the TraderDesk website and software. By downloading or using TraderDesk you agree to them. TraderDesk is order-entry software, not an investment adviser, broker-dealer or fiduciary, and you remain responsible for your orders and broker relationships.

1. Acceptance

By accessing this website, downloading the TraderDesk installer or using the TraderDesk application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the software.

2. What TraderDesk is

TraderDesk is Windows desktop software that connects to broker APIs or gateways you control so you can place orders and review positions. It is not a broker, dealer, exchange, investment adviser, portfolio manager, tax adviser or law firm. It does not hold customer funds and does not provide recommendations.

3. Licence

Subject to these terms, Preemption Softwares grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use TraderDesk on a Windows device you control, for your own trading workflow. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the software except where the law expressly permits it.

4. Early access and beta

Early-access licences are offered to approved users in exchange for honest feedback. The advertised free period is 12 months from activation unless a different period is confirmed in writing. The programme, its limits and these terms may change for future users. A testimonial is welcome but is never a condition of the licence.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your broker credentials, API keys and device secure.
  • Configure risk limits, account selection, order types and quantities correctly.
  • Confirm every order and monitor the per-account results.
  • Comply with your broker agreements, market rules and applicable law.
  • Do not use TraderDesk to manipulate a market, evade controls or break any law.

6. Third-party brokers and data

Your broker relationship is between you and your broker. Broker availability, permissions, market-data subscriptions, fees and order handling are set by your broker. Market data may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable and is for reference only. Preemption Softwares is not responsible for a broker’s actions, outages or rejections.

7. No advice

Nothing on this website or in the application is investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. The options chain, payoff graphs, Greeks, backtests and strategy tools are informational features. You make your own decisions.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features, brokers or the early-access programme. We do not guarantee that every broker, segment or order type will remain available. We may release updates that change behaviour; you are responsible for reviewing them before trading.

9. Intellectual property

The TraderDesk name, interface, website, text and graphics are owned by Preemption Softwares or used with permission. You may not copy or republish them for commercial use without written permission. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners.

10. Disclaimers

The website and software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of loss.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Preemption Softwares will not be liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, broker actions, market-data errors, connectivity failures or indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of TraderDesk. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using TraderDesk at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or if the programme is discontinued. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change is material, we will try to make it clear on the site.
