Features

One order ticket, a full options workspace and risk checks

TraderDesk is a Windows desktop trading workstation for US broker accounts. It combines multi-account order entry, an options chain, a multi-leg strategy builder with payoff and Greeks, positions, an order book, logs and configurable risk limits in one application.

Order entry

One order ticket for every connected account

Choose the segment and instrument, set the order, tick the accounts and send. The button always tells you how many accounts will receive the order, and every account reports its own result afterwards.

  • Market, limit, stop and stop-limit orders with time in force.
  • A live quote and notional value before you send.
  • Any mix of connected accounts and brokers.
  • A result for each account, so one rejection never hides the others.

Execution speed depends on your broker, connection and market conditions.

Options

An options chain built for decisions, not just quotes

Pick the underlying and expiry, then scan a strike ladder with call and put prices, volume and open interest. Strategy templates for bullish, bearish, neutral and volatility views load their legs at the at-the-money strikes.

  • Call and put last price, volume and open interest.
  • Spot price and strike count beside the chain.
  • Templates for spreads, condors, straddles and more.
  • Send the selected legs straight into the multi-leg builder.

Multi-leg

A multi-leg options strategy builder with a real payoff graph

Build the basket leg by leg, then look at the payoff at expiry before you send it. The analysis strip shows maximum profit, maximum loss, net credit or debit, breakeven, a model probability of profit and a 1 SD move.

  • Add, edit and remove legs with expiry, type, strike and quantity.
  • Payoff graph at expiry with max profit, max loss and breakeven.
  • Delta, gamma, theta/day, vega and decay/day.
  • Select the accounts and send the whole basket.

Greeks and probability figures are model estimates. They are not predictions and do not account for every market condition.

Positions

Positions, P&L and the order book in one place

The Positions tab brings open and closed positions across connected accounts into one table. Filter by account, symbol or quantity, then review average price, last price and unrealised or realised P&L.

  • Open and closed positions across accounts.
  • Unrealised, realised and total P&L.
  • Filter by account, symbol or quantity.
  • Square off from the same table where the broker supports it.

Position values depend on your broker’s data and may be delayed. Always confirm with your broker before acting.

Strategy

Rules, backtests and a trade list you can inspect

Define an indicator rule, choose the symbol, timeframe and exit logic, then run a candle-close backtest over a date range. Review the equity curve and export the trade list to check the assumptions yourself.

  • Indicator rules with stop-loss, target and opposite-signal exits.
  • Backtest date range and per-trade results.
  • Equity curve and CSV trade export.
  • Live execution can be enabled per strategy, with a stop control.

Backtests are simulations based on historical data and assumptions. They do not guarantee future results.

Diagnostics

A searchable log for every order and data request

When a broker rejects an order or a data feed goes quiet, the log is the first place to look. Filter by level or category, search the message and details, pause the stream or export the visible rows.

  • Levels, categories, timestamps and details.
  • Search across messages and details.
  • Pause the live stream while you read.
  • Export CSV for your own records or support.

Risk

Risk limits checked before the order leaves your PC

Set a dollar cap, a size cap, an order-rate cap and a daily loss limit. Optionally block live orders while the market is closed, and use the top-bar kill switch to halt routing.

  • Maximum value and size per order.
  • Maximum orders per minute and daily loss limit.
  • Optional block on live orders outside market hours.
  • Kill switch in the top bar.

Risk controls reduce some risks but do not eliminate losses. They depend on correct configuration and on broker behaviour.

Data

Automatic fallback market data

TraderDesk prefers your connected broker’s feed and can fall back to another source when that feed is unavailable. A fallback keeps the workspace usable, but it is not a guarantee of accuracy or timeliness.

  • Broker data first where available.
  • Automatic fallback when a feed is unavailable.
  • Source visible in the status bar and logs.
  • Data may be delayed or unavailable and is for reference only.

Market data is for reference

Quotes, P&L and option values can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Confirm prices with your broker before you send an order. TraderDesk does not sell exchange market data and does not guarantee a real-time feed.

Security

Broker API keys are stored locally on your PC and encrypted at rest. TraderDesk sends order and market-data requests to the brokers and data providers you connect.

Questions

Feature questions

Does TraderDesk place orders automatically?

Only when you enable a strategy you configured. You choose the rule, the accounts and the size. TraderDesk is not an advisory or signal service, and you remain responsible for every order.

What order types are supported?

Market, limit, stop and stop-limit orders with time in force. The order ticket shows the quote and notional value before you send.

How does the multi-leg builder work?

Add legs with expiry, call or put, strike and quantity. The app shows payoff at expiry, maximum profit and loss, breakeven, a model probability of profit, the Greeks and a 1 SD move. Outputs are estimates, not predictions.

Can I see positions across brokers?

Yes. The Positions tab shows open and closed positions across connected accounts in one table, with average price, last price and P&L. Filters let you narrow by account, symbol or quantity.

Is market data real-time?

It depends on your broker and data subscription. TraderDesk can fall back to another data source when a broker feed is unavailable. Data may be delayed or unavailable and is for reference only.

Can I export logs and backtests?

Yes. The Logs tab can export the visible rows to CSV, and the Strategy tab can export the backtest trade list. That makes it easier to review an issue or inspect a test outside the app.
